Where are the people who think the way I think?
Is it just me who feels this, or is there someone else on this planet sitting in their own small room asking the same question?
I had my people once. Fifteen, sixteen years ago. A handful. We didn't agree on everything, but we were pointed the same way, and when one of us had an idea the others didn't ask why. They asked when.
Then life did what it does. Moves, countries, one collapse and a lot of quiet years. I look up now and they're scattered into their own lives the way I scattered into mine.
I'm not short of good people around me. That's not the problem. Friends, colleagues, fine. But when I talk about what I'm building at night, it goes in one ear and out the other. Not unkind. Just not their thing.
What I'm missing isn't an audience. It's the ones who'd say "that works differently than you think" and be right. Who see the gap I can't see. Who have the skill I haven't got, or the connection, or just the better idea. The ones who make the thing better by arguing with it.
Those people exist. I've met them before. They were never going to be next door. There aren't enough of them in any one town. They're spread across the whole world, each one thinking they're the only one.
So this is my answer, for now: go public. Put the work where the scattered ones can find it. Not the noise, not the arguments. I don't spend time in the back of the internet. Just the work, out loud, with the door open.
I don't know yet if it works.
If you're one of them, I'm the one stuck in my room, still building.
So Helloooooo, I am here, mate.
