Two months without a word here. I didn't stop. I was setting things up so I could keep going a better way than ever before.
Somewhere in July, I made a deal with myself. Not a speech. Not a big promise. Just one thought: this time, differently. Completely differently.
So I acted, the way I act on anything once I've seen it clearly.
Eighteen square metres.
I took the whole room apart and put it back together around one idea: everything I need. One step away.
Half of it is the desk. That's where the building happens.
The other half is a multi-gym a friend sold me for next to nothing. I sit too long. My back was hurting. So now I turn my chair around and stretch. Work on one side, straighten out on the other. Nobody is getting built in here. But I'm strong enough for the next day, and that was the whole point.
The mattress is on the floor, right there. Not a bed. Doesn't matter. Tired? Lie down. Wake up. Carry on with the things I actually love doing. No commute between the work and the rest.
Then came the webcam. A proper microphone — the best setup I've ever had. Recording software installed. Everything working. Because the next part isn't writing about what I've built. It's showing it.
There are two jobs alongside it. One client project took over for a while. That one gets its own post.
I know what this probably sounds like from the outside. A man moved his furniture around and bought a microphone.
From the inside, it's a dream setup. Everything I need to build, to stay in one piece, and to rest — all in one room. One step apart.
I've never had that before. Not in bigger places. Not in better years.
And maybe that's what these last two months were really about. Not disappearing. Not stopping. Just building the environment that makes it easier to keep going.
So yes, I've been quiet. But quiet doesn't mean stopped.
Still building. Never done. Never will be.
